Athlete wellness workshops

BROOKFIELD, WI, April 14, 2022 – Cyber Athletix, LLC, the community created by athletes for athletes, today announced an all-star panel of
presenters for the Cyber Athletix “Wellness Workshops” to be held during the WPA Bruins 2022 Tip-Off Tournament at the David Lawrence
Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA this weekend. The Wellness Workshops will be held on Friday, April 15 th at 5pm and Saturday, April 16 th at 1pm and 5pm.
Each session topic is designed for players, parents, and coaches participating in this top-rated girls’ basketball event:

• “Logged In and Stressed Out – the Influence of Social Media on Student Athlete Mental Health”
• “Return-to-Play Stress Management”
• “Parent-Player Communication After the Game”
• “The Invisible Opponent – Mental Health Stigma”

Wellness Workshop Faculty

Dr. Candice Williams, a Licensed Professional Counselor at The Ohio
State University Athletics Department – Sports Psychology &
Wellness Services where she provides psychotherapy and wellness
programing to student-athletes, coaches, and athletic support staff.
She has been featured in popular publications such as ESPN, NCAA
Champion Magazine, Men’s Health Magazine and USA Today.

Alex Salerno, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Skills
Specialist at KPEX Consulting in Pittsburgh where she assists clients
in building awareness and learning adaptive coping skills to enhance
their overall performance. Alex earned her master’s degree in Clinical
Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling from The University of
Pittsburgh. She is mental training and peak performance specialist at
KPEX Consulting.

Christina J. Chukwuedo, a Licensed Professional Counselor at the
Clairton Pennsylvania School District where she provides intensive
mental health treatments to students and their family. She earned her
master’s degree with honors in Counseling Education with a
specialization in sports counseling from California University of
Pennsylvania. Christina played point guard on the NCAA Division I
Bucknell University Women’s Basketball team from 2008 – 2012.

Janice L. Braxton, a two-time Kodak All-American selection from
Louisiana Tech University and member of the gold-medal winning
U.S. Olympic Women’s Basketball team in 1984. This 1984 NCAA
National Player of the Year was inducted into the Women’s
Basketball Hall of Fame after playing after playing 15 years in Italy
and three seasons with the Cleveland Rockers in the WNBA,
including serving as Assistant Coach for two years.

Erin P. Kerner, Erin set a school-record of 1,799 points at NCAA
Division I - Quinnipiac University and was a four-time Northeast
Conference honoree. She was named the Northeast Conference
Rookie-of-the-Year as a freshman after leading Mercyhurst Prep to
Pennsylvania state championships in 2004 and 2005. Erin earned her
Executive MBA from Quinnipiac University and is currently the
Director, Client Events and Strategic Partnerships at Louis Vuitton.
